Hi. This is an interesting view but looking at the technique and the foods allowed and disallowed it looks very similar to many other diets. This controls the balance of the 3 major groups eaten and limits the calorie intake. However I’m a little concerned that no allowance seems to be made for the activity level of the individual. A person with a sedentary lifestyle may still have weight problems consuming just 1600 or 1800 calories a day. What would you recommend as an exercise regime to accompany a diet like this?

Interesting concept about diet influencing the genes. I have no doubt there is a connection. One thing that would warrant testing is the degree of the influence. The other thing is — once the genes are influenced, will the weight loss stick? I mean even if one goes off diet for a while!
